I love the DIY security industry mainly because their home security cameras are so affordable. You no longer have to pay an arm & a leg to hire a security company to keep watch on the place you live.
One of the things I like about security cameras is the ability to be able to see what my dog & cat are up too. Sometimes I’m not impressed.
The Wyze Cam is just one of those affordable home security systems. It’s even easy to set up. I have a YouTube video below to show you just how simple it is. Even though the Wyze Cam is under $60, it still delivers good video (with night vision). It also has a 360-degree field of view with a 93-degree vertical tilt range. The audio on this one is crisp & clear.

Yi HOME CAMERA
Another affordable home security camera system is the Yi Dome 1080p. This wireless security camera has a high-definition with panoramic photo capture. It also provides you with a mechanical pan, tilt, and zoom. Along with that, it comes with motion and sound-triggered recordings.
What I like about the Yi is, when it detects a new motion or activity, it automatically follows the action or person until it disappears. Also, you don’t have to store your footage online. You can if you want. You can save the footage on the local micro SD card. That SD card will give you about 6 days of footage on a 32GB micro card.
RATINGS: At the time I wrote this review, the Yi Camera was on Amazon’s had a #1 bestsellers list with a 4.6 star rating from 33,769 customer reviews.
PC Mag said it was an excellent choice & gave the camera a 4-star rating out of 5.
Always read about the Features & Specs before you make a purchase. You don’t want to have to return it because it doesn’t have something that you wanted. I’ve learned that lesson the hard way.
